Providing training and education programs in a culturally competent manner to
family
members/service providers to help them facilitate a recovery process in themselves and
their loved ones or clients.

Helping parents, spouses,
siblings, and other family members who are caring for a
mentally ill loved one
to effectively
cope and handle the stress that arises from caring
for them.

Parents Involved Network
Parents Involved Network (PIN) is a peer-to-peer program that assists
parents/caregivers of children and adolescents with behavioral health
challenges.

Proact
Educating it's constituency and members to advocate for reducing the stigma of
addiction,
ensuring the availability of treatment options, influencing public opinion and
policy regarding
the value of recovery.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI):
Philadelphia Affiliates & Groups Family support groups and advocacy.

Family Support
Specialist
Assists families at Mental Health Court with concerns about court procedures and
refers families
to FRN members.

Other Support-Education Groups

links to groups/organizations including Depression & Bipolar Support Alliance,
Survivors of Suicide, Planned Lifetime Assistance Network, etc.
